Course Description :

Improved techniques for the characterization of wastewaters-Unit processes of advanced biological wastewater treatment - trickling filter- activated sludge system - attached growth systems- stabilization and aerated lagoon systems,(bio solids) digestion and disposal- nutrient and phosphorus residual organics removal, and anaerobic treatment systems. Implementation of several newer treatment technologies (UV disinfection, membrane filtration, and heat drying)-Concern for the long-term health and environmental impacts of reuse of wastewater constituents-Emphasis on advanced wastewater treatment and risk assessment for water reuse applications.
