Solar Thermal Energy Systems: solar energy systems, past, present and Future- solar Energy collection- Flat plate collectors- Focusing collectors- solar water heating systems- solar Thermal power plants. Wind Energy systems: operating principle of windmills- Electricity generation from wind energy-Design of electricity generation system from wind energy. Conventional Thermal power plants: steam generators (Furnaces and firing equipment; Heat transfer surfaces, Auxiliaries and Accessories, Economizers, Presenters) steam power cycles- Gas turbine and combined cycle- Economics of power plants.
